Provide Basic Life Support
This course aims to teach the skills and knowledge critical to saving life and minimizing the severity of injury or sudden illness. Safety awareness and accident prevention are emphasized throughout.
COURSE CONTENT
- Apply Emergency Action Principles
- Perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation – adult, child and infant
- Infection Control Requirements
- Provide Care for Breathing Emergencies – allergies, asthma, choking etc
- Provide Care for Cardiac Emergencies
- Provide Care for Shock
- Provide Care for Bleeding and Wounds
- Comply with Basic Documentation Requirements
- Provide Care for Burns
PREREQUISITES: NONE
COURSE DURATION: Minimum 5.0 HOURS
COST: $100.00 PER PERSON
Evaluation Method
Continuous assessment throughout the course and a theory assessment. At the end of the course students who complete all components will receive a certificate (valid for 3 years from date of issue).
COURSE AWARD
Valid for 3 years.
